How to Play Tango
Tango is a binary logic puzzle played on a 6×6 grid. Your goal is to fill every cell with either a sun or a moon so that all four rules are satisfied at once. Every puzzle has exactly one solution, and you never need to guess.
Tips & Strategies to Solve Tango Faster
1. Start with the = and × clues
These constraints are free information. An = pair joined to any known cell instantly gives you a second cell, and an × pair does the same in reverse. On hard puzzles the clue chains are often the only way in.
2. Count to three
The moment a row or column contains 3 suns, every remaining empty cell in it must be a moon (and vice versa). Scanning for "finished" symbols is the fastest way to cascade progress.
3. Break up pairs
Two identical symbols side by side means the cells on both ends must be the opposite symbol - otherwise you'd create three in a row. The pattern sun-sun forces moon on each side.
4. Look for the sandwich
If two cells with one gap between them hold the same symbol (sun, empty, sun), the middle cell must be the opposite - three in a row is never allowed.
5. Never guess
Every puzzle here is verified to have a single logical solution. If you feel stuck, re-scan rows and columns that are nearly full - there is always at least one forced move on the board.
